Sensorimotor Psychotherapy

You don't just think your way through life. You experience the world through your body. Every joy, every grief, every quiet moment in between lives there. So why would therapy only happen above the neck?

Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a body-informed approach that recognises something most of us already know but struggle to put into words: your body remembers. Not just big traumas, but the small, repetitive moments of tension, shutdown, or bracing that have become your normal.

Anxiety doesn't just live in your thoughts. It lives in your chest, your shoulders, your shallow breath.

Burnout isn't just in your to-do list, it's in the heaviness behind your eyes, the pull to lie down, the places that have gone numb.

In our work together, I won't just ask what you're thinking. I'll guide your awareness to what you notice in your body right now.

A tight jaw. A pulling away. A holding of the breath that you didn't even realise was there. We learn to track those sensations without judgment. Not to get rid of them, but to understand what they're saying.

Body Wisdom

Your body has its own story, often more accurate than our cognitive endeavours.

Slowly, without forcing anything, your nervous system can learn that it doesn't have to stay on high alert.

We'll give your body a different experience of safety. And let that experience speak for itself.
