Chronic Stress

You've been running for so long you've forgotten what stillness feels like. The deadlines, the demands, the endless doing. Your mind has learned to keep going. But your body keeps score.

Chronic stress isn't just a feeling. It's a physiological state. It’s your nervous system locked into high alert waiting for the next threat. The trouble is the threat never comes. And it never goes away either. So, you stay in a state of low-grade emergency, day after day, month after month.

You might not even notice it anymore.

The tension in your neck has become background noise. The shallow breathing feels normal. The exhaustion is just how you are now. But your body knows. It's been whispering for a while. Now it might be shouting with poor sleep, digestive issues, a short fuse, a fog that won't lift.

In our work together, we don't try to talk you out of stress.

That would be like talking someone out of a fever. Instead, we work directly with the body, the place where stress actually lives. We track the sensations, find the places of bracing, and slowly, gently, invite something different.

Not relaxation. That word might feel impossible. Just a small pause. A single breath that's a little longer. A shoulder that drops a fraction of an inch. That's where recovery begins.
